Our owner, an avid sportbike rider, was on the Pit Bull site purchasing products when he noticed some usability issues and reported them to the store manager. After a few conversations and a quick consultation, Pit Bull asked us to convert their Miva store to OpenCart.
The primary focus was making sure customers of the Miva store were able to log into the OpenCart store without having to reset a password (common problem when switching ecommerce software). We continued by migrating products, options and attributes into the new storefornt. To ensure data accuracy, we went through every item in their QuickBooks data to make sure they were shown in the new store (even when missing from the Miva store data). At which time we also updated all of the model numbers in the store to reflect what we found in their QBW file.
Mavelo was ultimately able to migrate all products, customers, review and prior orders into the new store with no problem. We were also able to provide shipping calculation solutions that were previously unattainable. We also provided a solution for them to import customers and orders from the online store into their QuickBooks company file.
